Due date.

This time two years ago, Lil was due (she didn't arrive for another 12 days). I know it's naff, the whole 'this time two years ago..' but I've been watching videos of her as a baby and I'm upset that I didn't appreciate those days as much as I should have. Mother's of toddlers: weren't those the easy days?

I used to sit and watch her for hours. Now if I sit and watch her for five minutes she gets the arse and I either have to play whatever game it is she's playing or 'go away'. I miss the newborn stage like you wouldn't believe.

Where did my due date go?

  1. God, it's crazy, but I know just what you mean. Even second time around with This Baby I wished away her newborn days with "I can't wait til she's old enough to sleep properly" and "I can't wait until she's more alert" and that sort of rubbish. It's so silly isn't it because now she's only ten months old and she already seems like a little girl.

I'm sure this is just Mother Nature's way into tricking us into repopulating the planet, making all the really pants newborn stuff seem attractive enough to do it all over again...crafty cow.

  4. i am learning what you are meaning. my son, wesley, is about to turn 6 months old and every week he's so different. i spend so much time looking at all his old photos in disbelief that each of those little phases ended so fast! it's so overwhelming.
